Dr M Supriya Menon, Head of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, an accomplished academician and researcher with over 20+ years of progressive experience in teaching, research, and academic leadership. Dr. Menon holds her Ph.D. from the prestigious Koneru Lakshmaiah (KL) University, Guntur. She has an impressive research portfolio, with over a dozen papers published in high-impact Scopus, SCIE, and ESCI-indexed journals and international conferences, including book chapters and design patents covering key areas such as machine learning, healthcare informatics, cloud computing, privacy-preserving data mining, and drug repositioning. A proactive contributor to academic and institutional development, she has held leadership roles as NAAC and NBA coordinator and participated in numerous FDPs, national conferences, and pedagogical development programs. An ISTE Lifetime Member, she is recognized for implementing innovative teaching methodologies, Outcome-Based Education (OBE), and Learning Science Education (LSE) to empower academic growth. Her vision is to build a research-oriented, industry-ready academic environment that empowers students with technical competence, ethical values, and entrepreneurial spirit.

About Department

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering was started in the year 2003, it is affiliated to JNTUH, Hyderabad. Department offers the programmes like B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering B.Tech. in CSE(Data Science), B.Tech in CSE (AI &n ML), and M.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering. The objective of the Department is to produce competent software professionals, academicians and researchers through Quality Education. The number of student’s batch passed out in B.Tech. in CSE is 20 batches and in M.Tech is 5 batches. The Department faculty strength is 33 who are highly qualified and experienced in specialization of different domain knowledge. The specializations are Network Security, Data Mining, Web Mining, Cloud Computing, Big Data Analytics, Image Processing, Ad hoc Networks and Software Engineering and Testing.

The department is equipped with 7 computer labs with Hi- End servers and 300 operational nodes of HP & HCL which are designed with structured cabling in tune with the cyber age revolution to support the teaching activities. The centre provides internet connectivity through broadband at 300Mbps. A slew of latest software and packages to equip the students to meet the challenges in the vibrant and constantly changing field is one of the advantages of this department.
